History/Upbringing:

Long into the past in Ben's history there was a man named Daniel Chorley. He was a previous headmaster of Hogwarts, one of the greatest schools of witchcraft and wizardary in the wizarding world. It was unclear where he was on the day Hogwarts fell, but it is assumed that he was not on the site. He was never seen since and his wife and daughter had to leave their home and live somewhere in the muggle countryside to escape the wizarding press and Ministry officials trying to track him down. As time went by and as Hogwarts was never rediscovered nor a replacement created the previous generations of Ben's family were kept 'in the dark' of their special powers as Wizards and Witches. Unaware of their powers both his mother and father come from Wizarding families, but neither of them know of their powers.

(Upbringing and Education)
Ben had a very loving mother and father who gave him a very good upbringing. He wasn't spoilt, but his parents cared very much about him and were paying close attention to his education and social lives all the way through his childhood. In his secondary education he had a close knit group of friends who he continued to communicate with when he went into university. But Bristol university was where he made most of his friends and continues to contact them on a regular basis.
Throughout university he excelled in the business degree he was taking and his leadership skills were highlighted as a particular strength of his. He was always very good around people and was a good motivator. He would never back down unless he knew he was in the wrong and he would never give up or stop. Ben had this drive about him that people would comment on. No matter how difficult, time consuming or painful the task that he was assigned to do was, he would still persevere through the hardest of times. Not was he only good with people but he was very observant. He was able to read through people like a book at times and this usually kept him away from the wrong people and kept him with the right people.
